"Bezonken is soundplay composition for flute, bas clarinet, accordion and stereotrack, commisioned by the Fonds voor de Scheppende Toonkunst (NL). The idea was to create a form in which the musicians of the chambertrio KAIDA could improvise in a contemporary setting. I produced a stereotrack including voicerecordings and remixes of recordings we had made with Box of Toads in 2002. The piece has been developed in a co-production with Nirav Christophe, Daniela Moosmann and myself by sending eachother text and music fragments. Then we recorded the voiceparts which have been the basis for the composition in the first and third part. In the second part I recomposed parts of recordings with Box of Toads in order to create movements on tape on which KAIDA can improvise during the performance " -- Stevko Sounds:
