Jan von Klewitz - sax John Schröder - dr Martin Gjakonowski - bs What the guitarist, resident in Cologne, presents on his new CD "NORBERT SCHOLLY QUARTETT" (JazzHausMusik, Cologne) is truly something for the connoisseur. His compositions and improvisations are full of rhythmic and metric key changes as well as diverse theme fragments. Apart from this, many Indian musical influences are included as a result of a WDR Production for the multi-cultural project MADRAS SPECIAL (feat. Ramesh Shotam), which took place in Madras (Southern India). A CD will soon be released. The native of Cologne and his quartet succeed in creating their own sound and easily move to the complex structures. Sounds:
