Misha Mengelberg, born 1935 in Russia (since 1947 in Amsterdam), and Stevko Busch, born 1966 near Cologne reflect European improvising and composing developement.
At the borderline between contemporary composition and improvisation these two pianists are having a conversation about their musical visions and memories. They let the other speak, they attack and interrupt eachother and from time to time they agree with one another.... In this way, they develop a wide range of facets of sound in their communication. The reason, that the form and content of music has the priority over theatrical gestures, is due to the mastership of Misha Mengelberg and the inquisitive humbleness of Stevko Busch. Sounds:
