Busch and van Kemenade know each other sinds 1995, when Busch became part of the "Contraband" of the Dutch trombonist and co-founder of the Amsterdam Bimhuis Willem van Manen, the orchestra which van Kemenade was part of since the 80ies.

- "...the Duet van Kemenade/Busch playing intensive and impressing. The beautiful and sharp tone of the alto saxophone as well as the delicate accompaning of the song "Pace" by Stevko Busch made this part the climax of the concert."
"Draaiomjeooren" on the concert of "Borderhopping" in Bimhuis, Amsterdam, feb 2007

There is a south african influence in their music, which breathes a quiet and soulful atmosphere with blue elements.
