Alexander Morsey - double bass Kasia Bortnik-Dragon - voice Miriam Frank - alto/sopranosaxophone Katrin Mickiewicz has formed this extraordinary and characteristic quartet to perform her compositions and arrangements. The style of her music ranges from fragile polyphony, grooving jazz and East-European folk and free improvisation, avantgarde and pop. The two voices build up the central part of the music with instrumental-like lines and lyrics in Polish or English. The four musicians are enthusiastic and emotional players, producing various colours and moods ranging from tiny minimalistic whispers, humour and irony to massive orchestral sounds. The combination of viola/violin, saxophone and bass, sometimes also used as percussion or sounding like a cello, the unexpected surprises during a show and the large variety of musical settings create the special and interesting sound of disguise. disguise took part in important competitions and jazz festivals and works with different artists of modern art. disguise releases its debut album on February 02 at the "MUSICOM" label in Munster.
