Stevko Busch (A´dam) Norbert Scholly (Köln) Kai Wolff (Berlin) Using different audio-sources this trio generates extraordinary soundscapes in a live setting. Box of Toads has a stylish sound: the instruments are electronic; they use sound collages, overlays and counterpoints; the audio cells are original recorded soundfragments as well as sine waves, which are barely recognisable as they are transformed into previously unheard sound spaces. The Toads are inspired by contemporary composed and improvised music but a close bind to classic Indian and ethnic influences, as well as the urban reality of Western and Asian cities, is also evident in their music. However when it comes to the essence of their sound the Toads only take heed of one influence - their critical ear. Sounds:
